Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 47 — Janamejaya’s Sarpa-satra: Vow, Preparation, and the Onset of the Serpent Offering

शयनं तत्र संक्लृप्तं स्पर्थ्यास्तरणसंवृतम्‌ । तत्र भार्यासहायो वै जरत्कारुरुवास ह,वहाँ बहुमूल्य बिछौनोंसे सजी हुई शय्या बिछी थी। जरत्कारु मुनि अपनी पत्नीके साथ उसी भवनमें रहने लगे

śayanaṁ tatra saṁklṛptaṁ sparthyāstaraṇa-saṁvṛtam | tatra bhāryā-sahāyo vai jaratkārur uvāsa ha ||

ที่นั่นมีแท่นบรรทมจัดไว้เรียบร้อย ปกคลุมด้วยเครื่องปูลาดอันล้ำค่าและประณีต ที่นั่นเอง ฤๅษีชรัตการุได้พำนักอยู่พร้อมภรรยา
