Jaratkāru’s Marital Compact and Departure (जरत्कारु–जरत्कारुणी संवादः)

परं मन्त्रबलं यत्‌ ते तद्‌ दर्शय यतस्व च । न्यग्रोधमेनं धक्ष्यामि पश्यतस्ते द्विजोत्तम,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! तुम्हारे पास जो उत्तम मन्त्रका बल है, उसे दिखाओ और यत्न करो। लो, तुम्हारे देखते-देखते इस वटवृक्षको मैं भस्म कर देता हूँ

paraṁ mantrabalaṁ yat te tad darśaya yatasva ca | nyagrodham enaṁ dhakṣyāmi paśyatas te dvijottama ||

ทักษกะกล่าวว่า “จงแสดงพลังมนตร์อันสูงสุดที่เจ้ามี—จงเพียรพยายามและสำแดงมันเถิด โอ ทวิชผู้ประเสริฐ! ต่อหน้าเจ้าผู้นี้ เราจะเผาต้นไทรนี้ให้เป็นเถ้าถ่าน”
