शाड्गका ऊचु. न त्वं मिथ्योपचारेण मोक्षयेथा भयाद्धि नः । समाकुलेषु ज्ञानेषु न बुद्धिकृतमेव तत्,शार्ड्गका बोले--माँ! तुम झूठे बहाने बनाकर हमें भयसे छुड़ानेकी चेष्टा न करो। संदिग्ध कार्योमें प्रवृत्त होना बुद्धिमानीका काम नहीं है
Śārḍgakā ūcuḥ | na tvaṁ mithyopacāreṇa mokṣayethā bhayād dhi naḥ | samākuleṣu jñāneṣu na buddhikṛtam eva tat |
ฝูงนกศารฑ์คกะกล่าวว่า “แม่เอ๋ย อย่าพยายามปลดเปลื้องความกลัวของพวกเราด้วยข้ออ้างอันเท็จเลย ในเรื่องที่ความรู้ยังสับสนคลุมเครือ การรีบร้อนลงมือหาใช่ปัญญาไม่”
