ततो5शनिमुचो घोरांस्तडित्स्तनितनि:स्वनान् | तद्विघातार्थमसृजदर्जुनो 5प्यस्त्रमुत्तमम्
tato ’śanimuco ghorāṁs taḍit-stanita-niḥsvanān | tad-vighātārtham asṛjad arjuno ’py astram uttamam vāyavyam ||
ครั้นแล้วหมู่เมฆอสนีอันน่าสะพรึง ด้วยแสงฟ้าแลบและเสียงฟ้าร้องกัมปนาท ก็เริ่มสาดสายอสนีบาตลงสู่พื้นพิภพ เพื่อสกัดการโจมตีนั้น อรชุนผู้ชำนาญในวิชาแก้อาวุธ ได้ประกอบมนตร์แล้วปล่อยอาวุธอันประเสริฐชื่อ ‘วายุพยะ’ ครั้นอานุภาพนั้นบังเกิด กำลังและเดชแห่งวชระของพระอินทร์กับเมฆพายุทั้งหลายก็ถูกทำลายสิ้น
