वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the supremacy of tejas (fiery spiritual/elemental power): when a force is sustained by divine energy, ordinary countermeasures (like water against fire) may fail before even making contact, suggesting the limits of merely external remedies.
Streams of water are being directed toward a blazing fire, but Agni’s intense radiance evaporates them in the sky itself; none of the streams reaches the fire.
