भ्रातृभि: सहितो राजा चतुर्भिरधिकं बभौ । प्रयुज्यमानैर्विततो वेदैरिव महाध्वर:,जैसे यथावसर उपयोगमें लाये जानेवाले चारों वेदोंके द्वारा विस्तारपूर्वक आरम्भ किया हुआ महायज्ञ शोभा पाता है, उसी प्रकार अपनी आज्ञाके अधीन रहनेवाले चारों भाइयोंके साथ राजा युधिष्ठिर अत्यन्त सुशोभित होते थे
bhrātṛbhiḥ sahito rājā caturbhir adhikaṃ babhau | prayujyamānair vitato vedair iva mahādhvaraḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า เมื่อมีพระอนุชาทั้งสี่อยู่เคียงข้าง พระราชายิ่งทวีความรุ่งเรือง—ดุจมหายัญที่งามสง่าเมื่อวางเวททั้งสี่ไว้โดยพิสดารและนำมาใช้ให้ถูกกาลถูกพิธี; ฉันนั้นเอง เมื่อมีเหล่าพระอนุชาผู้ตั้งอยู่ในพระบัญชา ยุธิษฐิระยิ่งปรากฏพระเดชานุภาพ
