उलूप्युवाच ऐरावतकुले जात: कौरव्यो नाम पन्नग: । तस्यास्मि दुहिता राजन्नुलूपी नाम पन्नगी,उलूपीने कहा--राजन्! ऐरावत नागके कुलमें कौरव्य नामक नाग उत्पन्न हुए हैं, मैं उन्हींकी पुत्री नागिन हूँ। मेरा नाम उलूपी है
ulūpy uvāca—airāvatakule jātaḥ kauravyo nāma pannagaḥ | tasyāsmi duhitā rājann ulūpī nāma pannagī ||
อุลูปีกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา ในวงศ์แห่งไอราวตะได้มีนาคนามว่า กุรวยะ ถือกำเนิดขึ้น ข้าคือธิดาของท่านนั้น ข้าแต่พระราชา—นาคกัญญานามว่า อุลูปี”
