श्रुत्वैव च महाबाहुर्मा भैरित्याह त॑ द्विजम् । वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! वह ब्राह्मण निकट आकर बहुत रो रहा था। पाण्डुपुत्र कुन्तीनन्दन धनंजयने उसकी कही हुई सारी बातें सुनीं और सुनकर उन महाबाहुने उस ब्राह्मणसे कहा--'डरो मत”

ครั้นได้ฟังแล้ว มหาพาหุจึงกล่าวแก่พราหมณ์นั้นว่า “อย่ากลัวเลย”
