This line functions as a colophon marking the close of a chapter; its implicit lesson is attentiveness to textual structure and transmission—recognizing how narratives are organized and preserved within larger ethical-historical epics like the Mahābhārata.
The narrator signals that the twentieth chapter on Garuḍa’s deeds, situated within the Āstīka section of the Ādi Parva, has concluded; it is a formal end-of-chapter notice rather than a new plot event.
