अर्जुनस्य लक्ष्यवेधः

Arjuna’s Hitting of the Target at the Svayaṃvara

सो<यं पितृवधाद्‌ व्यक्त क्रोधाद्‌ वो हन्तुमिच्छति । तेजसा तस्य दिव्येन चक्षूंषि मुषितानि व:,अतः यह बालक अपने पिताके वधसे कुपित हो निश्चय ही तुमलोगोंको मार डालना चाहता है। इसीके दिव्य तेजसे तुम्हारी नेत्र-ज्योति छिन गयी है

so 'yaṃ pitṛvadhād vyakta-krodhād vo hantum icchati | tejasā tasya divyena cakṣūṃṣi muṣitāni vaḥ ||

กุมารผู้นี้เอง ด้วยความพิโรธอันปรากฏชัดเพราะการสังหารบิดา ย่อมประสงค์จะฆ่าพวกเจ้าโดยแท้ และด้วยรัศมีทิพย์แห่งฤทธิ์ของเขานั่นเอง สายตาของพวกเจ้าจึงถูกชิงไป
