Educational Q&A

Power should be exercised in the service of protection and dharma, and actions—especially violent ones undertaken for a just cause—should be followed by truthful, complete disclosure to legitimate leadership, reflecting accountability and integrity.

After killing the rākṣasa who had been terrorizing the brāhmaṇa’s household and community, Bhīma returns to the brāhmaṇa’s home and narrates the entire sequence of events accurately and fully to King Yudhiṣṭhira.
