ब्राह्मण उवाच उपपन्नं सतामेतद् यद् ब्रवीषि तपोधने । न तु दुःखमिदं शक्यं मानुषेण व्यपोहितुम्,ब्राह्मणने कहा--तपोधने! आप जो कुछ कह रही हैं, वह आप-जैसे सज्जनोंके अनुरूप ही है; परंतु हमारे इस दुःखको मनुष्य नहीं मिटा सकता
brāhmaṇa uvāca | upapannaṃ satām etad yad bravīṣi tapodhane | na tu duḥkham idaṃ śakyaṃ mānuṣeṇa vyapohitum |
พราหมณ์กล่าวว่า “โอ นางผู้มั่งด้วยตบะ คำที่เจ้ากล่าวนั้นสมควรแก่ผู้มีคุณธรรมแท้ แต่ความโศกของเรานี้ หาอาจขจัดได้ด้วยความเพียรของมนุษย์เพียงลำพังไม่”
