सहधर्मचरीं दान्तां नित्यं मातृसमां मम । सखायं विद्िितां देवैर्नित्यं परमिकां गतिम्‌,प्रिये! तुम मेरी सहधर्मिणी और इन्द्रियोंकों संयममें रखनेवाली हो। सदा सावधान रहकर माताके समान मेरा पालन-पोषण करती हो। देवताओंने तुम्हें मेरी सखी (सहायिका) बनाया है। तुम सदा मेरी परम गति (सबसे बड़ा सहारा) हो

ที่รัก เจ้าเป็นคู่ครองร่วมธรรมของข้า—สำรวมอินทรีย์และมั่นคงแน่วแน่ คอยระวังรักษาอยู่เสมอ เลี้ยงดูและค้ำจุนข้าดุจมารดา เหล่าเทพได้แต่งตั้งเจ้าให้เป็นสหายและผู้เกื้อหนุนของข้า เจ้านี่เองคือที่พึ่งสูงสุด เป็นหลักยึดอันประเสริฐของข้าเสมอ
