वैशम्पायन उवाच एकचक्रां गतास्ते तु कुन्तीपुत्रा महारथा: । ऊषुर्नातिचिरं काल ब्राह्मणस्य निवेशने,वैशम्पायनजीने कहा--राजन्‌! एकचक्रा नगरीमें जाकर महारथी कुन्तीपुत्र थोड़े दिनोंतक एक ब्राह्मणके घरमें रहे

vaiśampāyana uvāca | ekacakrāṃ gatās te tu kuntīputrā mahārathāḥ | ūṣur nāticiraṃ kālaṃ brāhmaṇasya niveśane ||

ไวศัมปายนกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา บุตรแห่งกุนตีผู้เป็นมหารถะทั้งหลายไปถึงนครเอกจักราแล้ว ได้พำนักอยู่ ณ เรือนของพราหมณ์ผู้หนึ่งอยู่ชั่วระยะหนึ่ง”
