बाहुभ्यां योक्त्रयित्वा तं बलवान् पाण्डुनन्दन: । मध्ये भड़्क्त्वा महाबाहुर्हर्षयामास पाण्डवान्,तब महाबाहु बलवान् पाण्डुनन्दन भीमसेनने उसे दोनों भुजाओंसे बाँधकर उलटा मोड़ दिया और उसकी कमर तोड़कर पाण्डवोंका हर्ष बढ़ाया
bāhubhyāṁ yoktrayitvā taṁ balavān pāṇḍunandanaḥ | madhye bhaṅktvā mahābāhur harṣayāmāsa pāṇḍavān ||
แล้วภีมเสนะ โอรสแห่งปาณฑุผู้มีกำลังและแขนใหญ่ ใช้สองแขนรัดตรึงมันไว้ บิดงอไปด้านหลังและหักกลางเอว ทำให้เหล่าปาณฑพยิ่งชื่นบาน
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of strength used to secure one’s side and inspire allies; ethically, it invites reflection on how victory and morale can be gained through force, and where restraint should temper power.
Bhīma (the strong son of Pāṇḍu) seizes an opponent, restrains him with his arms, bends him backward, and breaks him at the waist, causing the Pāṇḍavas to rejoice.
