भीमस्य जलान्वेषणं तथा वनविश्रान्तिः

शरैनननाविधैस्तूर्ण पार्थ संछाद्य सर्वश: । सिंहनादं मुखै: कृत्वा समयुध्यन्त पाण्डवम्,उनके बाणोंसे घायल हुए पांचाल और संजय वीरोंने तुरंत ही नाना प्रकारके बाणोंकी वर्षा करके अर्जुनको सब ओरसे ढक दिया और मुखसे सिंहनाद करते हुए उनसे लोहा लेना आरम्भ किया
śarair nanāvidhais tūrṇaṃ pārtha saṃchādya sarvaśaḥ | siṃhanādaṃ mukhaiḥ kṛtvā samayudhyanta pāṇḍavam ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—เหล่านักรบปัญจาละและวีรบุรุษสัญชัย ซึ่งบาดเจ็บด้วยศรของเขา ก็พลันระดมศรนานาชนิดโปรยใส่พารถะจากทุกด้านจนมิด และเปล่งเสียงคำรามดุจสิงห์ เข้าประจัญบานกับปาณฑวะโดยตรง
