जतुगृहदाहः — The Burning of the Lac House and the Pāṇḍavas’ Concealed Escape
तां तथा मोहमापचन्नां विदुर: सर्वधर्मवित् । कुन्तीमाश्चवासयामास प्रेष्याभिश्चन्दनोदकै:,उन्हें इस प्रकार मूच्छामें पड़ी हुई देख सब धर्मोके ज्ञाता विदुरजीने दासियोंद्वारा चन्दनमिश्रित जल छिड़कवाकर होशमें लानेकी चेष्टा की
tāṃ tathā moham āpacannāṃ viduraḥ sarvadharmavit | kuntīm āśvāsayām āsa preṣyābhiś candanodakaiḥ ||
ครั้นเห็นกุนตีนอนหมดสติอยู่เช่นนั้น วิดุระผู้รู้ทั่วธรรมะจึงสั่งนางรับใช้ให้พรมน้ำอบกลิ่นจันทน์ แล้วปลอบประโลมเพื่อให้กุนตีกลับคืนสติ
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is not only rule and policy but also humane responsibility: a wise person responds to suffering with practical compassion, restoring steadiness and dignity to those overwhelmed by grief.
Kuntī has collapsed in a swoon. Vidura, renowned for his knowledge of dharma, directs attendants to sprinkle her with sandal-scented water and consoles her, attempting to bring her back to awareness and composure.
