कर्णप्रवेशः—रङ्गे द्वन्द्वयुद्धप्रस्तावः तथा अङ्गराज्याभिषेकः

त॑ चारणसहस्राणां मुनीनामागमं तदा । श्र॒त्वा नागपुरे नृणां विस्मय: समपद्यत,सहस्रों चारणोंसहित मुनियोंका हस्तिनापुरमें आगमन सुनकर उस समय वहाँके लोगोंको बड़ा आश्चर्य हुआ
tac cāraṇasahasrāṇāṁ munīnām āgamaṁ tadā | śrutvā nāgapure nṛṇāṁ vismayaḥ samapadyata ||
ครั้นได้ยินว่าเหล่าจารณะนับพันพร้อมด้วยหมู่มุนีมาถึง ณ นาคปุระ (หัสดินาปุระ) ในกาลนั้น ชาวเมืองทั้งหลายก็เกิดความพิศวงยิ่งนัก
