जामदग्न्यसम: कुन्ति विष्णुतुल्यपराक्रम: । एष वीर्यवतां श्रेष्ठो भविष्यति महायशा:,'कुन्ती! यह परशुरामके समान वीर योद्धा, भगवान्‌ विष्णुके समान पराक्रमी, बलवानोंमें श्रेष्ठ और महान्‌ यशस्वी होगा

jāmadagnyasamaḥ kunti viṣṇutulyaparākramaḥ | eṣa vīryavatāṃ śreṣṭho bhaviṣyati mahāyaśāḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— “โอ กุนตี! ผู้นี้จักเป็นวีรบุรุษเสมอด้วยชามทัคนยะ (ปรศุราม) และมีเดชานุภาพดุจพระวิษณุ จักเป็นผู้เลิศในหมู่นักรบผู้ทรงกำลัง และมีเกียรติยศยิ่งใหญ่”
