Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 115 — Mādri’s request; invocation of the Aśvins; birth and naming of the Pāṇḍavas

इत्युक्त्वा भगवान्‌ व्यासस्तथा प्रतिनिधाय च । जगाम तपसे धीमान्‌ हिमवन्तं शिलोच्चयम्‌,यों कहकर और पूर्वोक्त प्रकारसे रक्षाकी व्यवस्था कराकर परम बुद्धिमान्‌ भगवान्‌ व्यास हिमालय पर्वतपर तपस्याके लिये चले गये

ity uktvā bhagavān vyāsas tathā pratinidhāya ca | jagāma tapase dhīmān himavantaṁ śiloccayam ||

ครั้นตรัสดังนี้แล้ว และได้จัดการอารักขาตามที่กล่าวไว้ก่อน พระวยาสผู้ทรงปัญญายิ่งก็เสด็จไปยังยอดเขาหิมวันต์เพื่อบำเพ็ญตบะ
