Pāṇḍu’s Marriages, Conquests, and Triumphal Return (पाण्डोर्विवाह-विजय-प्रत्यागमनम्)

सत्यमेतन्महाबाहो यथा वदसि भारत । विश्वासात्‌ ते प्रवक्ष्यामि संतानाय कुलस्य न:,उसने कहा--“महाबाहु भीष्म! तुम जैसा कहते हो वही ठीक है। तुमपर विश्वास होनेसे अपने कुलकी संततिकी रक्षाके लिये तुम्हें मैं एक बात बतलाती हूँ

satyam etan mahābāho yathā vadasi bhārata | viśvāsāt te pravakṣyāmi santānāya kulasya naḥ ||

นางกล่าวว่า “จริงแท้ดังที่ท่านว่า โอ้ผู้มีพาหุอันเกรียงไกร โอ้ภารตะ ด้วยความไว้วางใจในท่าน ข้าพเจ้าจักบอกเรื่องหนึ่งแก่ท่าน เพื่อให้สายสกุลของเราดำรงสืบไป”
