त्वमेव नाथ: सम्प्राप्त: शान्तनोरमितद़ुते । कन्यायाश्वैव धर्मात्मन्‌ प्रभुर्दानाय चेश्वर:,उसने कहा--“अमित तेजस्वी युवराज! आप ही महाराज शान्तनुकी ओरसे मालिक बनकर यहाँ आये हैं। धर्मात्मन्‌! इस कन्यापर भी आपका पूरा अधिकार है। आप जिसे चाहें, इसे दे सकते हैं। आप सब कुछ करनेमें समर्थ हैं

tvam eva nāthaḥ samprāptaḥ śāntanor amitadyute | kanyāyāś caiva dharmātman prabhur dānāya ceśvaraḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “โอ้เจ้านาย ผู้มีรัศมีหาประมาณมิได้ ท่านมาที่นี่ในฐานะผู้ครอบครองโดยชอบธรรมแทนพระเจ้าศานตนุ โอ้ผู้มีจิตตั้งมั่นในธรรม แม้เหนือกุมารีผู้นี้ท่านก็มีอำนาจสิทธิ์ครบถ้วน ท่านจะประทานนางแก่ผู้ใดตามประสงค์ก็ได้ เพราะในกิจนี้ท่านทรงสามารถและทรงอธิปไตย”
