नियोगप्रसङ्गः — The Niyoga Episode: Births of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Pāṇḍu, and Vidura

यस्मान्मे वसवो जह्र्गा वै दोग्ध्रीं सुवालधिम्‌ । तस्मात्‌ सर्वे जनिष्यन्ति मानुषेषु न संशय:,“वसुओंने सुन्दर पूँछवाली मेरी कामधेनु गायका अपहरण किया है, इसलिये वे सब- के-सब मनुष्य-योनिमें जन्म लेंगे, इसमें संशय नहीं है”

yasmān me vasavo jahruḥ vai dogdhrīṃ suvaladhim | tasmāt sarve janiṣyanti mānuṣeṣu na saṃśayaḥ ||

“เพราะเหล่าวสุได้ฉกชิงโคให้น้ำนมของเราผู้มีหางงามไป ฉะนั้นพวกเขาทั้งหมดจักต้องไปบังเกิดในหมู่มนุษย์—หาได้มีข้อสงสัยไม่”
