अनुक्रमणिकाध्यायः (Anukramaṇikā Adhyāya) — Invocation, Narrator Frame, and Textual Scope

सुभ्राजस्तु त्रय: पुत्रा: प्रजावन्तो बहुश्रुता: । दशज्योति: शतज्योति: सहस्रज्योतिरेव च,सुभ्राटके तीन पुत्र हुए, वे सब-के-सब संतानवान्‌ और बहुश्रुत (अनेक शास्त्रोंके) ज्ञाता हैं। उनके नाम इस प्रकार हैं--दशज्योति, शतज्योति तथा सहस्रज्योति

subhrājas tu trayaḥ putrāḥ prajāvanto bahuśrutāḥ | daśajyotiḥ śatajotiḥ sahasrajyotir eva ca ||

สุภราฏมีบุตรสามคน ทั้งหมดล้วนมีวงศ์สืบต่อและเลื่องชื่อด้วยความรอบรู้กว้างขวาง นามของพวกเขาคือ ทศชโยติ, ศตชโยติ และ สหัสรชโยติ
