अध्याय ९६: शरभ-प्रादुर्भावः, नृसिंह-दर्पशमनम्, विष्णोः शिवस्तुतिः, फलश्रुति

पठेत्प्रतिष्ठाकालेषु शिवसन्निधिकारणम् चोरव्याघ्राहिसिंहान्तकृतो राजभयेषु च

paṭhetpratiṣṭhākāleṣu śivasannidhikāraṇam coravyāghrāhisiṃhāntakṛto rājabhayeṣu ca

พึงสวดบทนี้ในกาลแห่งการประดิษฐานลึงค์ เพราะเป็นเหตุให้พระศิวะเสด็จสถิตใกล้ชิด อีกทั้งป้องกันภัยจากโจร เสือ งู สิงโต ภัยถึงความตาย และความหวาดกลัวจากกษัตริย์หรืออำนาจโลกีย์
