Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय

चतुर्थ्यां स्त्री न गम्या तु गतो ऽल्पायुः प्रसूयते विद्याहीनं व्रतभ्रष्टं पतितं पारदारिकम्

caturthyāṃ strī na gamyā tu gato 'lpāyuḥ prasūyate vidyāhīnaṃ vratabhraṣṭaṃ patitaṃ pāradārikam

ในวันจตุรถี (Caturthī) ไม่พึงเข้าใกล้สตรีเพื่อร่วมเพศ; เพราะการล่วงละเมิดนั้นกล่าวกันว่าย่อมก่อให้เกิดบุตรอายุสั้น—ขาดปัญญาอันถูกต้อง เสื่อมจากวัตรพรต ตกต่ำ และเอนเอียงไปหาภรรยาผู้อื่น; เป็นการเพิ่มพูนพันธะปาศะที่ขวางทางสัตว์ (ชีวา) สู่ปติ คือพระศิวะ।
