उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः

एते ज्योतींषि प्रोक्तानि विद्वद्भिर् ब्राह्मणैस् तथा प्रसार्य पादौ न जपेत् कुक्कुटासन एव च

ete jyotīṃṣi proktāni vidvadbhir brāhmaṇais tathā prasārya pādau na japet kukkuṭāsana eva ca

หลักธรรมอันสว่างไสวอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์เหล่านี้ บัณฑิตพราหมณ์ได้ประกาศไว้แล้ว เพราะฉะนั้นอย่าภาวนามนต์โดยเหยียดเท้าออกไป; พึงนั่งกุกกุฏาสนะแล้วภาวนาด้วยวินัย ในการบูชาพติ (พระศิวะ)
