उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः

उदयास्तमयात्पूर्वम् आरम्य विधिना शुचिः कामान्मोहाद्भयाल्लोभात् संध्यां नातिक्रमेद्द्विजः

udayāstamayātpūrvam āramya vidhinā śuciḥ kāmānmohādbhayāllobhāt saṃdhyāṃ nātikrameddvijaḥ

ก่อนอาทิตย์ขึ้นและก่อนอาทิตย์ตก ผู้เป็นทวิชะพึงชำระตนให้บริสุทธิ์และเริ่มตามพิธีบัญญัติ ไม่พึงปล่อยให้สันธยาอุปาสนา (บูชายามสนธยา) ล่วงเลยไป แม้ด้วยกามะ ความหลง ความกลัว หรือความโลภก็ตาม
