उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः

मन्त्रमुच्चारयेद्वाचा जपयज्ञः स वाचिकः शनैरुच्चारयेन्मन्त्रम् ईषद् ओष्ठौ तु चालयेत्

mantramuccārayedvācā japayajñaḥ sa vācikaḥ śanairuccārayenmantram īṣad oṣṭhau tu cālayet

เมื่อสาธกเปล่งมนต์ด้วยเสียงวาจา การสวดนั้นเรียกว่า ‘วาจิกะ-ชปะ’ จงเปล่งมนต์อย่างอ่อนโยนและช้า ๆ ขยับริมฝีปากเพียงเล็กน้อยเท่านั้น.
