FAQs

It frames all sacrificial merit as ultimately meant to terminate in Shiva (Pati); even heavenly enjoyments are temporary, while the highest “end of yajña” is Shiva-oriented fulfillment that redirects the soul toward Shaiva realization.

Shiva is implied as the sarva-yajña-anta—the final ground and consummation of all ritual action—indicating Pati as the supreme telos beyond transient bhoga and loka-based rewards.

The verse emphasizes yajña-karma and its phala, teaching that rites should be performed with Shiva as the ultimate intention; this aligns with a Pāśupata orientation where karma is purified into devotion and right knowledge rather than mere enjoyment.
