Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

विपर्ययेण भूतादिर् अशक्त्या च व्यवस्थितः प्रथमो महतः सर्गो विज्ञेयो ब्रह्मणः स्मृतः

viparyayeṇa bhūtādir aśaktyā ca vyavasthitaḥ prathamo mahataḥ sargo vijñeyo brahmaṇaḥ smṛtaḥ

ด้วยวิปรยะยะ (ความกลับตาลปัตร) และอศักติ (ความไร้กำลัง) ต้นเค้าภูตะทั้งหลายจึงตั้งมั่นอยู่ในสภาพนั้น นี่เป็นมหาสรรค์ครั้งแรกของพรหมา อันเกิดจากมหัต
