Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

बुद्ध्याश् च समकाले वै प्रादुर्भूतस् तमोमयः तमोमोहो महामोहस् तामिस्रश्चान्धसंज्ञितः

buddhyāś ca samakāle vai prādurbhūtas tamomayaḥ tamomoho mahāmohas tāmisraścāndhasaṃjñitaḥ

และพร้อมกันกับการอุบัติแห่งพุทธิ ก็ปรากฏหลักตมัสอันประกอบด้วยความมืด เรียกว่า ตโมโมหะ มหามोहะ ตามิสระ และ ‘อันธะ’ คือความมืดบอดทางจิตวิญญาณ
