Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

मन्वन्तरेण चैकेन सर्वाण्येवान्तराणि च कथितानि भविष्यन्ति कल्पः कल्पेन चैव हि

manvantareṇa caikena sarvāṇyevāntarāṇi ca kathitāni bhaviṣyanti kalpaḥ kalpena caiva hi

เพียงกล่าวถึงมนวันตระหนึ่งเดียว วัฏจักรระหว่างกลางทั้งปวงก็เป็นนัยอยู่แล้ว; และเมื่อกล่าวถึงกัลปะหนึ่งเดียว ลักษณะของกัลปะทั้งหลายก็ปรากฏชัด ดังนี้เอง ปติคือพระศิวะ ผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งจังหวะลยะของจักรวาล ทรงธำรงการเวียนกลับของกงล้อกาลเวลาไว้เสมอ।
