FAQs

It frames an ideal devotee-king: steadfast in disciplined worship (here, Gaṇapatya), honored by the devas—implying that proper devotion and dharma support successful Shaiva rites, where Gaṇeśa is traditionally invoked to remove obstacles before Linga-pūjā.

Indirectly: by showing that divine order responds to disciplined devotion. In Shaiva Siddhānta terms, when the pashu (individual) aligns conduct and worship, the bonds (pāśa) loosen through grace, ultimately oriented toward Pati (Śiva), even if the verse highlights Gaṇeśa as the gateway to auspicious worship.

Steadfast adherence to a vrata/discipline (gāṇapatya) grounded in Vedic learning—suggesting regulated worship and purity of practice, a prerequisite ethos for later Shaiva pūjā-vidhi and Pāśupata-oriented self-discipline.
