वासिष्ठकथनम् (आदित्य–सोमवंशवर्णनम् तथा रुद्रसहस्रनाम-प्रशंसा)

कला काष्ठा लवो मात्रा मुहूर्तो ऽहः क्षपा क्षणः विश्वक्षेत्रप्रदो बीजं लिङ्गमाद्यस्तु निर्मुखः

kalā kāṣṭhā lavo mātrā muhūrto 'haḥ kṣapā kṣaṇaḥ viśvakṣetraprado bījaṃ liṅgamādyastu nirmukhaḥ

พระองค์คือกาละเอง—กะลา กาษฐา ลวะ มาตรา มุหูรตะ กลางวัน กลางคืน และขณะ พระองค์ประทานวิศวเกษตร (viśva-kṣetra) และทรงเป็นพีชะ (bīja); พระองค์คือศิวลึงค์ปฐม อนาทิ ไร้พระพักตร์ปรากฏ—เหนือรูปจำกัดทั้งปวง
