FAQs

It frames Linga-centered dharma indirectly: stable varṇa-āśrama conduct is the social foundation that supports Shiva-pūjā, yajña, and disciplined living—preparing the prajā (pashu) to move from bondage (pāśa) toward alignment with the Lord (Pati).

Shiva-tattva is implied as the upholder of cosmic order: when people are established in right conduct, the manifest world functions harmoniously under the governance of Pati, enabling the gradual purification of pashus from pāśa through dharma.

No specific rite is named; the verse highlights varṇa-āśrama-ācāra as the prerequisite discipline—ethical and ritual order that supports later Shiva-pūjā and, in Shaiva terms, prepares eligibility for Pāśupata-oriented sādhanā.
