FAQs

By stressing the innumerable Rudras and Śiva-gaṇas, the verse elevates Linga-worship as devotion to Pati (Śiva) who is served by limitless divine hosts—signifying His supremacy and all-pervasive lordship.

It implies Śiva-tattva as transcendent and sovereign: the Rudras and gaṇas are beyond ordinary counting, indicating that Śiva’s powers and manifestations are immeasurable, while He remains the single Pati governing all.

No specific rite is prescribed in this line; the practical takeaway for Śaiva sādhana is bhakti with awareness of Śiva as Pashupati—invoking His gaṇas and Rudra-aspects as protective attendants during Linga-pūjā and japa.
