FAQs

It establishes the āvāhana (invocation) step—calling sages, Pitṛs, and Devas to witness and sanctify the rite—so the liṅga-pūjā proceeds in complete śāstric order and ritual fullness.

By arranging the invocation of all divine powers before worship, the verse implies Śiva as Pati—the supreme center of the yajña-like pūjā—before whom Devas and Pitṛs are respectfully assembled as subordinate witnesses.

Ritual āvāhana: invoking specific beings by name and then invoking all Devas from every direction—an essential pūjā-vidhi step that supports single-pointed devotion (ekāgratā), aligned with Pāśupata-oriented discipline.
