Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
It functions as a phala-śruti: sincere Shaiva observance (such as Linga-sevā and Rudra-bhakti) is declared to purify pāpa and culminate in attaining Rudra-pada, presented as a guaranteed outcome.
Shiva is implied as Pati—the liberating Lord whose abode/state (Rudra-pada) is attainable through His grace; liberation is framed as removal of impurity and entry into the divine Rudra-realm.
While not naming a specific rite, it summarizes the fruit of Shaiva sādhanā—Linga-pūjā/Rudra-bhakti aligned with Pāśupata intent: the Pashu (bound soul) becomes pāpa-nirmukta and reaches Rudra-pada.
