Sūta (narrator) conveying the Purāṇic account of creation as taught by the sages
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It does not directly define Ātman; it outlines graded manifestations in creation—immobile life and animal birth—implying the Self’s presence through all embodied forms within cosmic evolution.
No specific yogic technique is taught in this verse; it supplies cosmological classification that later supports dharma and sādhana by situating beings within the ordered flow of manifestation.
This verse is cosmological and non-sectarian in tone; it presents creation categories without polemics, aligning with the Kurma Purana’s broader Shaiva–Vaishnava synthesis by treating the cosmic order as a shared sacred framework.
