Time-Reckoning (Kāla-gaṇanā): Yugas, Manvantaras, Kalpas, and Prākṛta Pralaya

एतद् द्वादशसाहस्त्रं साधिकं परिकल्पितम् / तदेकसप्ततिगुणं मनोरन्तरमुच्यते

etad dvādaśasāhastraṃ sādhikaṃ parikalpitam / tadekasaptatiguṇaṃ manorantaramucyate

วัฏจักรนี้กำหนดเป็นหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันปีพร้อมส่วนเพิ่ม และเมื่อนำค่านี้คูณด้วย ๗๑ จึงเรียกว่า ‘มันวันตระ’ คือช่วงแห่งพระมนู
