FAQs

This verse is genealogical rather than metaphysical; it supports the Purāṇic worldview where cosmic orders and beings arise through lawful origination, while explicit Atman/Brahman teaching is developed more directly in the Upari-bhaga’s Īśvara-gītā sections.

No specific yoga practice is taught in this line; it functions as lineage documentation. For Kurma Purana yoga instruction—often framed in Shaiva-Vaishnava synthesis and Pāśupata-oriented discipline—see the Upari-bhaga Īśvara-gītā teachings.

It does not directly address Shiva–Vishnu unity; it contributes to the broader Purāṇic tapestry of beings and lineages within which the Kurma Purana later presents integrative theology and dharma-yoga teachings.
