punaḥ prāha ca taṃ dakṣaṃ dadhīco bhagavānṛṣiḥ / saṃprekṣyarṣigaṇān devān sarvān vai brahmavidviṣaḥ
Sage Dadhichi
Primary Rasa: raudra
Secondary Rasa: vira
By contrasting reverence for Brahman with hostility to it, the verse frames Brahman (ultimate reality/true sacred knowledge) as the highest principle that wise sages uphold—implying that spiritual clarity aligns with Brahman, while opposition to it reflects ignorance.
No specific yogic technique is stated in this verse; it sets the ethical and doctrinal ground for Yoga-shastra by emphasizing alignment with Brahman/Vedic truth—an essential prerequisite for disciplined practice (yama-niyama, tapas, and right view) in the Kurma Purana’s broader spiritual program.
Indirectly: by centering on Brahman as the supreme truth upheld by sages, the verse supports the Kurma Purana’s non-sectarian stance where Shaiva and Vaishnava paths are validated when rooted in Brahman and dharma rather than factional hostility.
