Devahūti’s Prayers, Kapila’s Departure, and Devahūti’s Liberation
Siddhapada
kapilo ’pi mahā-yogī bhagavān pitur āśramāt mātaraṁ samanujñāpya prāg-udīcīṁ diśaṁ yayau
This verse states that Kapila took leave of His father’s āśrama and, with His mother’s consent, departed—indicating His next divine purpose after completing His teachings and duties there.
The verse highlights dharma and proper conduct: even though Kapila is Bhagavān, He honors family duty and shows respect by formally taking leave from Devahūti.
Act with spiritual detachment while maintaining respect and responsibility—complete one’s duties properly, communicate clearly, and move forward in one’s higher calling without neglecting dharma.
