pratinandya tato devāḥ prayujya paramāśiṣaḥ sva-dhāmāni yayū rājan brahmādyāḥ pratipūjitāḥ
It says the demigods rejoiced, bestowed exalted blessings, and then returned to their own abodes, led by Brahmā, after being properly honored.
Śukadeva is narrating the account to Parīkṣit directly; “rājan” marks the continuing dialogue and keeps the listener anchored in the devotional history being recounted.
Celebrate genuine spiritual victory, offer good wishes to others, and then return to your responsibilities with gratitude and humility—without clinging to recognition.
