Paraśurāma Avenges Jamadagni; Restoration Through Sacrifice; Viśvāmitra’s Line and Devarāta (Śunaḥśepha)
dṛṣṭvāgny-āgāra āsīnam āveśita-dhiyaṁ munim bhagavaty uttamaśloke jaghnus te pāpa-niścayāḥ
This verse depicts it as a grave act born of “pāpa-niścaya” (sinful resolve): even a sage absorbed in the Lord is attacked, implying severe karmic and spiritual consequences.
A muni (sage) is described as seated in the sacrificial enclosure with his mind fully absorbed in the Supreme Lord, Uttamaśloka.
It warns against acting from hardened negativity and malice; instead, cultivate reverence for spiritual practice and protect the peaceful, God-centered life of others.
