ब्रह्मा तां रह आहूय समप्राक्षीच्च सान्त्वयन् । सोमस्येत्याह शनकै: सोमस्तं तावदग्रहीत् ॥ १३ ॥
brahmā tāṁ raha āhūya samaprākṣīc ca sāntvayan somasyety āha śanakaiḥ somas taṁ tāvad agrahīt
แล้วพระพรหมพานางตาราไปยังที่ลับ สงบใจนางแล้วจึงถามว่า “เด็กนี้เป็นบุตรของผู้ใดกันแน่?” นางตอบอย่างช้า ๆ ว่า “เป็นบุตรของพระโสมะ เทพจันทรา” แล้วเทพจันทราก็รับเด็กนั้นไว้ในความอุปการะทันที
