Bhakti as the Easy and Supreme Yoga: Seeing Kṛṣṇa in All and Uddhava’s Departure to Badarikāśrama
naitat tvayā dāmbhikāya nāstikāya śaṭhāya ca aśuśrūṣor abhaktāya durvinītāya dīyatām
In Bhagavatam 11.29.30, Kṛṣṇa says this confidential truth should not be given to the hypocritical, atheistic, deceitful, unwilling-to-hear, non-devotional, or undisciplined person—implying receptivity and devotion are essential qualifications.
Kṛṣṇa is concluding and safeguarding His intimate teachings to Uddhava, instructing him to transmit them responsibly only to qualified recipients so the message of bhakti is honored and properly understood.
Share sacred teachings with discernment: prioritize sincere seekers who are respectful and willing to learn, and avoid argumentative or mocking audiences—offer them basic kindness and example rather than confidential instruction.
