यथा हि भानोरुदयो नृचक्षुषां तमो निहन्यान्न तु सद् विधत्ते । एवं समीक्षा निपुणा सती मे हन्यात्तमिस्रं पुरुषस्य बुद्धे: ॥ ३४ ॥

yathā hi bhānor udayo nṛ-cakṣuṣāṁ tamo nihanyān na tu sad vidhatte evaṁ samīkṣā nipuṇā satī me hanyāt tamisraṁ puruṣasya buddheḥ

ดังดวงอาทิตย์ขึ้นย่อมทำลายความมืดที่ปกคลุมดวงตาของมนุษย์ แต่ไม่ได้สร้างสิ่งที่เขาเห็น เพราะสิ่งนั้นมีอยู่แล้วฉันใด การตระหนักรู้ถึงเราอย่างแท้จริงและแหลมคมก็ทำลายความมืดที่คลุมสติแท้ของบุรุษฉันนั้น

This verse says true discernment works like sunrise: it destroys the darkness of ignorance in the buddhi, but it does not “create” the ultimate Truth—Reality already exists and is simply revealed.

In the Uddhava-gītā (Canto 11), Kṛṣṇa is teaching Uddhava liberation through clear understanding; here He explains that right inquiry removes भ्रम (delusion) rather than producing God—realization is uncovering what is already real.

Use steady self-inquiry and scriptural reflection to identify and drop false assumptions; like turning on a light, clarity removes confusion—focus on removing misconceptions rather than “inventing” a spiritual experience.
