Hari’s Special Mercy, Śiva’s Quick Boons, and the Deliverance from Vṛkāsura
mumucuḥ puṣpa-varṣāṇi hate pāpe vṛkāsure devarṣi-pitṛ-gandharvā mocitaḥ saṅkaṭāc chivaḥ
This verse states that the sinful Vṛkāsura was slain, after which celestial beings showered flowers, and Lord Śiva was freed from danger.
They celebrated the removal of a great threat—Vṛkāsura’s death—and honored the divine resolution of the crisis that had endangered Lord Śiva.
Even powerful beings can face peril; the Bhagavatam highlights seeking divine shelter and the ultimate triumph of dharma when arrogance and misuse of boons are checked.
